What’s New? Everything…

To those of you who have been coming to this blog via the Andrew’s Mac Tips website I’d like to thank you for putting up with all the recent changes; first the log was within the site, then it was over on Blogger.com, and now it’s here on Blogsome!

When the blog was within the site it was essentially hand made—like the rest of the site. Its look meshed nicely with the rest of the site, but I didn’t have the faintest idea how to integrate RSS or commenting. I set up the Blogger version, and then I remembered reading about WordPress and how powerfull it was, and I remembered the beautiful Kubric template, and the fact that it’s free!

I went to the WordPress site and downloaded the package. I tried setting up and SQL database on my server (I have no idea what that means) with no luck. Then I had one of those Duh! moments—Googled the phrase: free wordpress hosting, and here I am.

And I like it here.

The Kubric theme looks great and gels well with the rounded corners of the tips site, there’s RSS and commenting functionality everywhere, and I can use this space to ramble about things other than tips and reviews.

Now, to get to work on those sidebars…
